Explain

Turn technical system information into understandable guidance without pretending uncertainty does not exist.

Organise

Help organise and work with authorised local notes, records, packages and maintenance information while respecting application boundaries.

Guide

Prepare plans and safe next steps while leaving consequential decisions with the user.

Local-first boundary

Your machine remains the centre.

AEGIS is intended to run locally and work with explicitly authorised local tools and data. Future online capability may be added as an option, but it should not silently become a dependency for ordinary operation.

Optional Public Sentinel Linux can be installed without AEGIS.
Authorised Actions should follow explicit user permission and system policy.
Auditable Tools and boundaries are packaged and documented.
Private by design Private AEGIS Prime and R.E.P.O tools are excluded from the public distribution.
Local AI and Memory Vault

Keep reasoning in the model and durable knowledge in the Vault.

AEGIS can pair a comfortable local model with persistent, approved records, narrow retrieval, deterministic tools and verification. This makes a smaller model more specialised and consistent without pretending it has become a larger model.

Model Language, interpretation and limited reasoning.
Vault Persistent knowledge, decisions, procedures and evidence.
Tools Retrieval, sanitisation, checksums, permissions and backups.
User Approval, authority and final judgement.
Learn the complete workflow

Use AEGIS as a coordinated suite.

The complete guide explains initial vault setup, Sentinel Command, A.V.I.C, S.C.A.N, V.A.U.L.T, B.A.S.T.I.O.N and A.R.C, including practical workflows, verification and troubleshooting.
