Your computer. Your rules.

A familiar desktop that puts you back in control.

Sentinel Linux is a Debian-based desktop for everyday computing. It keeps ordinary work local, makes important system choices visible, and gives you a familiar environment without forced cloud accounts or hidden remote control.

Familiar

Comfortable from the start

A traditional applications menu, panel, windows, files and settings keep the desktop understandable for people coming from Windows or other conventional computers.

Local-first

Your computer comes first

Core work is designed to happen on your own system. Online services can be used where useful, but ordinary access to your files and tools should not depend on someone else’s cloud service.

Everyday computing

A useful desktop, not just a technical project.

Sentinel Linux brings together a browser, notes, documents, calendar, contacts, password storage, bookkeeping, maintenance, inventory, pantry, media tools and other local applications in one consistent desktop suite.

Optional assistance

AEGIS helps without taking ownership away.

AEGIS is Sentinel Linux’s optional local-first assistant layer. It is intended to explain, organise and guide authorised tasks while respecting explicit boundaries and keeping the user as the final authority.

Assistance should increase understanding and control, not replace them.
