What revision 2 changes
Revision v1.0.18-2 fixes the separator used by the no-argument launcher before it hands control to the validated conversion engine. It also replaces the long normal-user validation transcript with a concise PASS result. Full engineering output remains available through sentinel-convert.sh --check.
The conversion engine remains stable
The internal conversion engine remains v1.0.18-final. Phase 99 is still passed, the public package lock remains 38 packages and the normal path remains a complete non-AEGIS conversion for Debian 13 Trixie MATE on amd64.
This is a launcher and delivery revision, not a change to the accepted SentinelOS system target.
The complete bundle is now the primary download
The website publishes SentinelOS_Converter_v1_0_18_2.zip rather than a small wrapper containing only a Debian package. The complete bundle includes the direct launcher, advanced engine, Debian package, contracts, manifests, tests, phase documentation, release history and public repository keys.
Users can run the converter directly from the extracted folder or install packages/sentinelos-converter_1.0.18-2_all.deb for a menu launcher and system-wide commands.
Verification covers both layers
The public bundle SHA-256 is a5fbc16b8522c6dd5136b5de132ae06945ca5e62ceff1607f345e3df6ad2b714. The enclosed package SHA-256 is 0c70550e03ede69076aab908a9948b40cb19adf972ae503f804730ba7b165868. The bundle's own SHA256SUMS also passes all 100 listed targets.
After extraction, ./sentinel-convert.sh --check finishes with Final release validation: PASS.
Installation remains explicit
Downloading or extracting the bundle changes nothing. Installing the Debian package installs the converter, launcher and engine, but it still does not start conversion. The user must separately choose Convert to SentinelOS or run sentinel-convert.sh, review the confirmation and authorise the administrator step.
The standard path remains non-AEGIS
The normal launcher performs or resumes the full public conversion without AEGIS. No Ollama runtime, model, AEGIS Prime component, private repository or personal administration data is included. Public AEGIS remains an optional later installation.
One documentation line is stale
START_HERE.txt still names the previous 1.0.18-1 package. The actual file in the bundle is packages/sentinelos-converter_1.0.18-2_all.deb, and its checksum sidecar and Debian control metadata agree on v1.0.18-2. The website installation instructions use the correct filename.
Trust boundaries remain clear
Published checksums establish exact-byte integrity. The SentinelOS APT archive key authenticates repository metadata used during conversion. A detached signature over the converter bundle and a clean-machine installation test for this exact revision remain pending and are not inferred from static validation.
What users should do
Download the complete bundle, verify its SHA-256, extract it, run the internal SHA256SUMS check, then use either the direct launcher or the Debian package method. See the Public Conversion Manual for the complete process.
